Our paint department is a well-stocked and important part of our store. We usually have the products you need in the quantities that your job requires. We also can help you with choosing the best product for your project, how much you might need and explain how it is used. We can’t pick your paint’s color, but we do have a computerized color-matching system if you wish to match a color sample.
PAINT – Our major paint line is one that we chose 30 years ago; it is a large “regional” paint company (based in Southern California) whose formulations work well here on the North Coast . The company also stays very current with current emission and quality issues. We have other brands in specialty items and are always looking for improved products. Overall, we have an extremely low incidence of problem cases with our brands of paints.
PRIMER – This is an extremely important product to make your job a good one. We stock some very good interior and exterior primers and we can help you choose the right one for your job.
STAIN – We carry several brands of stain, again those that work well in our area. Often, solvent based stains work better because they absorb into wood better than water based latexes.
Choosing the right tools to use can “make or break” your project. We have a good supply of brushes, rollers, putty knives, gloves, respirators and safety glasses. We also have varnishes, sanding items, painter’s tape, paint remover/stripper, caulking, spackling compound, ladders and most anything else that you need.
